Another way that you as the community can

Remember that Mananitas on Sunday morning is for same gender persons only: men on the men’s weekend and women on the women’s weekend God Bless,
LOVE ALONE GIVES VALUE TO WHAT WE DO. Final Preparation for Walk #28
Women’s Walk: March 6—9 Candlelight at 8:30pm Saturday Mañanitas at 5:45am Sunday Closing at 2:30pm Sunday Walk 28 Reunion:
4—7 pm Ventura First United Methodist Church There have been concerns expressed regarding the presence of community members of the opposite gender being present in the Pilgrim sleeping areas on Sunday morning during Mananitas. As a result of review and discussion by the Channel Islands Emmaus (CIE) Board Of Directors, the guidelines for Mananitas (the Sunday morning flower activity) have been significantly modified. Beginning with Walk #28, only persons of the same gender as the Pilgrims may participate in the Mananitas activity. This means that only men may participate in Mananitas on the men’s weekend and only women on the women’s weekend. Also, because communion is presented to the community at Closing, morning communion for the community following Mananitas will not be offered. All other aspects of the activity will remain the same. If you have questions, please contact any board member.
In keeping with this reminder, an extra eight prayer warriors will support us for the next two weeks. These men have been active in previous walks but for various reasons were unable to participate directly in the weekend. I also called many members of the Core Team and prayed for them and reminded them to pray with their prayer partners. And Prayer Agape, John Whitmore and Dan St. Pierre, are preparing the list of prayer partners to support the pilgrims in this final week. As a community, you can help, too. Please pray especially for the 19 pilgrims, but also for the team. Your prayers will help us remember during the final preparations that this is God’s Walk. Please pray that “we walk in the light as he is in the light,” pray that we have “fellowship with each other,” and pray that we remember that “the blood of his son, Jesus Christ, purifies us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 Tom
